On our road to 5K, last week was pretty OK week. She did 4.0 miles for total duration of 51:00 minutes. At this stage we are not so much focussed on the pace and all those details but primarily to run injury free.
What injury a 4.0 mile run a week can cause? you might ask. Well, you are correct to an extent. But she hasn’t done any running all her life and this is pretty significant.
She is just into her third week of running and is already complaining about shins, stitches, and hamstring pains.
We would be incorporating some conditioning and strength trainings soon with this program.
